...It's like practically over. My time in France, that is. In less than 24 hours I'll be on a bus in Germany. Wow. It hasn't really seemed real until now that I'm actually leaving this place, and it's sadder than I pictured it a week ago when I got a bad case of homesickness. Now that it's so close, it's just like college - my soul feels like it's tearing a little bit to stay with the awesome people I've met. But I still do really want to be home.
In other news...there isn't really much. I'm on vacation now. All my work is done (for now) and I'm glad it is so. My brain is already reveling in the freedom and I'm actually looking forward to going home and cooking and cleaning and buying presents for everyone! But most importantly, I can't wait to see everyone, including my little (fat for winter) kitty! Freegan (the cat here in France) slept with me last night for the first time in a while, and I hope she repeats it tomorrow. Absolutely adorable! I don't mind being woken up in the night by a cat kneading the backs of my legs - it's awesome.
Today I shall pack, go to the Christmas markets one last time, and say goodbye to everyone here before getting up at 5am (11pm home time) to travel for 24 hours straight. Huzzah!
See you on the other side of the pond!
